Nestor Weigand, Jr. - Founding Partner

Nestor Weigand, Jr. is President of J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc., the real estate firm founded by his grandfather in 1902, and which has since grown to become one of the most respected brokerage firms in the United States.

A graduate of Notre Dame, Nestor has spent more than four decades in residential, commercial, industrial and investment real estate. His professional designations include Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Commercial and Investment Member (CCIM), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). He is Past President of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and since 1978 has been a director of NAR. He was also a Director of the Canadian and Australian Real Estate Associations. He also served as chairman of the NAR RTC Task Force, Chairman of the Fannie Mae Advisory Council, and a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank Advisory Board. In addition to his already impressive credentials, Nestor served as World President of FIABCI (the International Real Estate Federation) in 1992-1993, was World President Elect in 2000-2001, and served again as FIABCI World President in 2001-2002.
