VICE PRESIDENT OF RESIDENTIAL AND HOSPITALITY
Lea has worked in the property and asset management business since 2002 with experience in the Residential, Commercial and Hospitality industries. The majority of that experience has been as a Vice President or COO of an asset management company and a hospitality management company. Lea previously worked at Weigand-Omega Management on the Commercial side in 2014. Lea grew up in Colby, Kansas and after college began his career in the broadcasting industry. He and his wife moved to Emporia Kansas to work and raise their family there. While in Emporia Lea served as the President of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters in 1994. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce and as the organizations President in 1999. He is a graduate of the Leadership Emporia class and also served on the Regional Development Association Board of Directors along with the United Way, the Emporia Recreation Commission Board and President along with the Lyon County Crime Stoppers Board and President. In 2004 they moved to Wichita where Lea went to work as the Vice President and COO of AG Hospitality Management Company overseeing a small portfolio of hotels including several Marriott brands along with Candlewood Suites in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. During his tenure at AG Hospitality the hotels in the portfolio won several award including Marriott Hotel of the year and Opening Hotel of the year. Lea then worked for Legend Senior living for 18 months as a property manager of an independent living facility before joining TGC Development Group as their VP of Asset Management in 2015. In 2016 as the hotel portfolio expanded Lea was a critical part of the start-up of TGC Hospitality Management Company which operates management agreements for eight hotels with several others in the pipeline. Lea has also served on the Go Wichita Board of Directors and the Greater Wichita Sports Commission since moving to Wichita.
Lea rejoined the team at Weigand Omega Management as the Vice President of Residential and Hospitality in November of 2018. His wife Crystal is a teacher at Wichita Northwest High school. They have two grown children and four grand-children. Lea and Crystal are both baseball fans and enjoy attending games in their spare time. They also enjoy golfing and especially spending time with the grandkids.
