Safety, Not Only Covid-19
March 30, 2020Property Management Electrical Safety
May 11, 2020With all the news about COVID-19 and the state of our economy, I thought this would be a good time for just a little fun. I present the following, rather stilted, paragraph about safety, but it contains some secrets. See if you can figure out what is going on.
“Safety can be very easy to get right. Just set your sites on being safe and stay the course. Just as yeast is important in making bread, and the sun rises in the east, your work plan must include safety. This is not a complicated feat. Yet, let us assume that you miss a step in your planning, yes, you might then suffer an accident or injury. Yea, you will then have a seat at the feast the fates lay out for those that are unwary. To sate your appetite here would not be prudent. Spoiled feta and soured tea, that table has nothing good to eat upon it. You want to say no to that fate, right?”
Yikes! I am not sure how an English teacher would grade the above writing and I am definitely not a good writer, but have you an idea what is happening?
Well…, before you think I am just a little looney, look at the first word in that paragraph, safety. It is made up of 6 letters. Those letters can make other words when rearranged. Are you having an “aha” moment about now? Well I am sorry, but some of those words can be tough to use in a paragraph, much less a sentence. Maybe I did, maybe I did not, do a very good job of it, but either way, here is a chance to win fabulous recognition and an even more fabulous prize! Check out this LED, portable, folding work light with hanging hook and magnetic base. Blindingly bright, it can help “light your way to safety” so to speak.
Want to own it? Here are the rules. Prior to day’s end on Wednesday, April 29th, take a few moments to highlight every 3 letter, or more, word that can be derived from the word ‘safety’ in that paragraph and email it back to me. Repeated words are okay to count. I will gather the ones that correctly identified all of them and assign them a number. I will then ask Erin, via email, to select a random number and I will announce who the winner is the following Monday and get that work light to them ASAP. Safety counts, get it?
Good luck and have a great week!
Sincerely,
Ray Moore
